The future has arrived. It's everywhere you look, and yet often invisible. Whether we realise or not, we are all connected to it - information.
Imagine a world without the Internet. This may prove more difficult than you think. From downloading music, to checking exam results or ordering a DVD, Information Technology (IT) has become an integral part of daily life.
At the University of Strathclyde, we recognise just how important IT is for students and staff around the globe. IT Services has a strong tradition of providing centralised computing services of the highest quality, as well as continuing to invest in future developments such as Web 2.0.
Comprising of four divisions; User Services and Support, Academic Services, Corporate Systems and Systems Infrastructure, IT Services ensure integration of each area in order to provide a first-class service.
The University, like all large organisations, is also maximising its investment in IT to create a leading edge environment in which students can have a rich learning experience, acquire the skills to take advantage of it and have access to the tools which will manage it.
Open the door to the wonder of technology - are you ready for what's next?
